Eric Andreansky, Ph.D., is a Registered Patent Agent with Knowles Intellectual Property Strategies (KIPS) in Atlanta, Georgia. Eric focuses on U.S. and international patent drafting and prosecution, patentability and freedom to operate analysis, and due diligence. Eric’s technical expertise includes organic chemistry, polymer chemistry, medicinal chemistry, material science, synthetic processing and organic electronics.

Prior to joining the firm, Eric received his Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from Emory University in 2017 under Dr. Simon B. Blakey. In graduate school, Eric studied the total synthesis of indole alkaloid natural products that showed potential as novel antimalarial agents. Eric was the recipient of the George W. Woodruff Fellowship from the Laney Graduate School during his time at Emory. At Emory, Eric participated in the National Institute of Health’s Broadening Experiences in Scientific Training (BEST) Program, designed to provide Ph.D. students with exposure and preparation for various career paths outside of academia. Eric interned in Emory University’s Office of Technology Transfer, gaining experience with both the office’s licensing and patent groups. During his time as an intern at Emory’s Tech Transfer office, Eric independently studied and passed the USPTO Registration Exam. Additionally, Eric was a service instructor for Emory University’s NMR Research Center for three years.

Eric received his B.A. in Chemistry from New College of Florida in 2011. His undergraduate Honors Thesis focused on the development of iron oxidation catalysts to remediate pesticide pollution in waterways in flow.
